Collective SKIN & NAIL ACADEMY
FAQ/Facts for Parents
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. At Collective SKIN & NAIL ACADEMY, we truly value parents and guardians who take an active role in their child’s education and future. Your support, encouragement, and guidance make a meaningful difference as they choose a career path and begin their journey in the beauty industry.
The beauty field is a thriving, creative, and ever‑growing profession. Nationally, it employs nearly two million people, and the Bureau of Labor Statistics projects continued growth of approximately 5% from 2022–2032. According to U.S. News & World Report, beauty professionals consistently report high job satisfaction, noting low stress levels, strong work‑life balance, and the ability to build a fulfilling, long‑term career. Many continue working for many years because they genuinely enjoy what they do.
Simply put, the future is bright for those entering this fun, flexible, and expanding industry.
While many graduates choose to work as estheticians or nail technicians in salons and spas, the career possibilities extend far beyond traditional settings. Licensed professionals may pursue roles such as:
- Salon owners or managers
- Makeup artists
- Nail technicians
- Bridal and special‑event specialists
- Film, theater, and entertainment industry artists
- Special effects artists
- Sales consultants
- Educators and trainers
- Editorial and photoshoot specialists
Just to name a few.
Nail Technicians are also in a highly entrepreneurial field, offering graduates the freedom to build schedules that fit their needs.
Students at Collective SKIN & NAIL ACADEMY receive a certificate upon graduation.
The students are also prepared for the North Carolina State Board of Cosmetic Art licensing exams. NC Cosmetic Art Board gives 2 exams through ProV.com, a theory & practical exam, @ $84./Each.
We assist the graduates with the exam enrollment process to ensure a smooth transition from student to licensed professional.
Collective ACADEMY assists with job placements.
